Environmental Awareness Campaign in Chitre

On October 29th there was an Environmental Awareness Campaign in Chitre, organized by the Organizacion Cultural Nueva Acropolis and sponsored by the Cubita project. It is the second consecutive year that this important activity is celebrated. This movement  aims to convey the importance of caring for our environment. The activity began early in the morning at Union Park in the city of Chitre, where young and old gathered to begin a thorough cleaning of the streets of downtown Chitre.

This initiative from Nueva Acropolis reflects  the cooperative spirit and willingness to make Panama a better country, which portrays the objective of the New Acropolis Foundation, nonprofit foundation that seeks to promote positive values in young people of our nation.

In the evening the artists Carlos Mendez, Javier Medina and Cienfue joined the celebration, sharing their songs with the people of Chitre at Bistrot restaurant in Panama.
