The past Tuesday December 3rd, Cubitá Boutique Resort & Spa had the visit of two of the most prominent and talented Panamanian musicians, Samy and Sandra Sandoval for the filming of their latest video “Candela y Mermelada”.

Contraplano Films, with the representation of their producer Miguel González and his team, centered the first shots in the Cubitá Chapel, chosen for its beauty and outstanding colonial design. The weather was on our side allowing High quality images.

Of course, we could not let the opportunity pass to take some Pictures!

The next ambiance selected was the main hall which has warm materials such as Wood, Stone and clay, a part from fountains and big colonial chandeliers, providing an excellent scenario for this video.

Saint John´s festivities has always been characteristic of Chitre. This party is one of the most important parties for the chitreanos, who have been prepared in advance for the occasion. Parades, masses, processions, fireworks and the traditional “shout” of Ay Juan, Ay Juan! In this party the chitreanos know how to mix the modernity but also they take care of the old traditions. For those who wish to know the culture in Chitre, the festival of Saint John is an opportunity to do it. We recommend you to go to church to participate of the Holy Eucharist and also to the procession of Saint John. In the end, perhaps imbued with the magic of the holiday you will end up shouting Ay Juan, Ay Juan!

Corpus Christi in Los Santos And Parita.

Diablos sucios Parita

One of the most famous religious holidays: The Corpus Christi in LaVilla de Los Santos and Parita. The celebration of the Eucharist is celebrated with splendor. The streets are filled with all kinds of dances, with diablicos (a Panamanian character ), parrampanes (Panamanian character with colorfull dresses) , mojigangas (Panamanian Characters dressing like women), the famous goats that will print the event a special color. we There are different kinf of dances and songs like El Torito (The Bull), The Clean and Dirty diablicos, Los Gallotes, The Spanish Montezuma, The Loggerhead Montezuma, The Zaracundé, etc.. The Pariteños also have done the same during the celebration of Corpus Christi and also they have another dances like The Cumbembé Dance. The Corpus Christi, a window to observe the cultural strength of the Azuero region which is The Region of Cubita.
