From March 14th to March 17th, the beautiful town of uses sugar cane and its by-products to decorate the carts. Nothing is wasted including the core and bagasse, which is used to create pieces of art that impress upon the visitors of the town.
Cubita project is being inspected under very strict quality control by the company QC Panama. In the picture you can see an example of the certification that is provided to every owner which will portray the different tests conducted throughout the construction.
Banesco, the bank financing the Cubita Wyndham Grand Resort, visited the project on the 4th of May to assess the construction progress. They were very impressed with the progress and are proud to be a part of such a great development in Chitre.
On Tuesday March 20th Cubita, along with the tour company Panama Al Natural had the opportunity to visit the Hacienda San Isidro in Pesé, which produces the well known beverage Seco Herrerano.
The visit was to identify this venue as one of the offerings to potential guests of The Cubita Wyndham Grand Resort.
The tourist guide from Varela Hermanos, Andrea Alvarez walked us through the process of production of the beverages that are produced in the factory. We were transported by the traditional wagon which is an integral part of the process of harvesting the sugar cane.

The arrival of the new year finds the diverse communities of Los Santos and Herrera full of joy. On the night before, on 31 December, santeños and herreranos expect midnight to welcome the new year with all kind of fireworks. Food, drinks and music are always present, and families gather at home to make wishes for family and friends. Once this ritual of New Year is over, lots of people travel to the City of Las Tablas to appreciate the meetings of the two queens’ Tunas (brass bands and dancers) at Parque Porras, as an anticipation of the carnival to be celebrated in February.
